Common questions
When does a commission actually start?
When your referral becomes a paying customer. A free trial that never converts doesn't earn, and neither does a free beta seat until it turns into a subscription. Once they're paying, you're paid every month they stay.
How long does the cookie last?
90 days. If someone clicks your link and signs up within 90 days, you get the credit.
When do I get paid?
Monthly via PayPal, once your balance passes $50. This month's commissions go out on the 30th of the following month (Net-30). US affiliates earning $600 or more in a year will need a W-9 on file.
Why is there a 20-referral minimum?
There are only ten founding spots, so each one should sit with someone who can actually work it. Twenty is the bar — if you can't picture twenty people in your world who need a scoreboard, a founding spot is the wrong fit and you'd be holding one someone else would run with.
What if my referral upgrades their plan?
You earn 35% of whatever they pay, so your commission moves up with them automatically.
Can I refer my own clients?
You can, but if you're an agency putting a portfolio of clients on Scoreboardz you'll make more reselling than referring. Have a look at the agency program before you decide.
Do I have to be a Scoreboardz user?
For a founding spot, yes. The whole pitch is that you keep score yourself — it's a much easier recommendation to make, and a much easier one to believe.
